Deuteronomy

Chapter 3

"The Conquest of Og."

Deuteronomy 3:1 "Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his People, to battle at Edrei."

Old king Og and his people are some of the few remnants left of the giants that use to roam this land during the time of Abraham and before. As we discussed in the previous chapter, these giants were offspring from the second influx of fallen angels that came to earth to pollute the bloodlines of flesh man.

As the Israelites neared to the land of Bashan, king Og brought all of his people out to do battle with the Israelites. The reputation of the conquering Israelites became well known, for they remembered what happened to king Sihon of Heshbon and his people. The people of Heshbon were destroyed to the last woman and child. The word gets around, and old king Og and his people are out there on the battle field at Edrei to fight for their lives.

Deuteronomy 3:2 "And the Lord said unto me, `Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his People, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihaon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.' "

God is telling Moses here, not to pay attention to anything that old king Og has to say, just go and do battle with him, for I will give king Og and his people into your hands. God is promising Moses that He will give the victory to him.

In Christ we have that same victory today, and just because we are in the Old Testament it doesn't change any of God's promises to you. God is the same yesterday [during this time against Og], as He is today, and He will be tomorrow. God is always present and with us, and these migrations that we are reading of in Deuteronomy, are the preparation for the completion of the rest of God's plan. The giants must be cleaned out before the land is taken and the children of God can enter the promise land. There are preparations in our generation also that must be completed before God's plan allows our generation to enter into our promise land in the Millennium age.

Therefore the type, and the lesson that is given here is important to us today. Today, there are no giants in the land before us. We are the giants in the world when we are in God's plan, for those events that God has said will come to pass, are going to happen just as they are recorded in God's Word. The victory is ours when God favors us. However today it is on an individual basis.

Deuteronomy 3:3 "So the Lord our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining."

God gave Og and all the people of the land of Bashan into the hands of Moses and his army, and they smote the people of Bashan to the last child. There was not one of the people of Bashan left alive. God is cleaning out the residue of the influx of fallen angels where ever they are, and wiping out Satan's attempt to intermix with the Israelites and pollute their blood line. It is a matter of protecting the plan of God that would bring forth the Christchild, according to the plan of God, for as it is written, so shall it come to pass.

Deuteronomy 3:4 "And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan."

There are a few thing to pay attention to here, in as much as there were sixty cities, and Og is the last of the giants, six is also Satan's number. We can see definitely a type with in this event. "Argob" means "stony", and the region was quite rough with lava flows, out-croppings of stone, and hard formations. So Argob, rather than being a town, is a description of the land of that region.

Deuteronomy 3:5 "All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many."

Many of the cities of Og's kingdom had great walls around them, and God tore down the walls and delivered the cities and towns into the hands of the Israelites. God is going to give this region to Moses, and the Israelites are going to possess the land. God doesn't want this rift-raft hanging around when His people are going to bring up their families in this location. This land is going to be the possession of Manasseh.

The Israelites took the worldly possessions of the people of Bashan for themselves, and that is just the way that life is. They were able with God's blessing to have the guaranteed victory, and that same assurance can be your also in our generation, when you put your trust in God and His Word, and seek to do things His way. Then you know that you are in His will and doing His work.

Deuteronomy 3:6 "And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women and children, of every city."

Again there are many that want to apologize for God for this act of destruction. However, you must remember, these people were a mixed people, from the Rephaims of Abraham's day, [Genesis 15:20], and the name "Raphaims" comes from the root word, # 7503; "raphah, to abate, to leave, to go down." These sons of God, or fallen angels left their first estate and came to earth for the sole purpose of mixing with flesh women, the daughters of men, and breeding to mess up God's plan. These people under both Sihon and Og, were the half-breed that came from the Nephilim. This was part of Satan desire to destroy flesh man, and take away the possibility of Salvation to all of God's Children.

This destruction of these population groups is a matter of God over riding the plan of Satan to destroy God's plan for our salvation. Jude addressed these fallen ones in the book of Jude and lets review this for a moment.

Jude 3 "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints."

Jude the author of this book is Judas, the brother of James the disciple. Judas is saying that he very prayerfully and carefully sought to write to you about common salvation. This is the very first sip of the milk that is taken by the new born Christian in his or her study of the Word. This is what should be taught to the person when he or she first accept the Lord, however unfortunately most pastors just don't care to get beyond their spiritual milk bottles.

Judas is saying that he wanted to write to you about more than just plain salvation. It is important that all new Christians know the very basics of what their salvation is, and he is treating them very tenderly. The purpose is to help us in our defending our faith in Jesus Christ.

Jude 4 "For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ."

Those "who were before of old ordained to condemnation", means that they were committed to their ways even back in the first earth age. They came from that first earth age, and they entered into the dimension of this world age of the flesh to change the very Word of God. The Word of God is eternal, unchanging from age to age, and these "certain men" that crept in unawares, are the fallen angels. When they came, mankind was unawares as to who they were, and what their intent was.

This is addressing Satan's followers that came to earth on a mission to protect their leader Satan and to disrupt the order of events which are, and will come to pass according to the Word of God. The men are also called "the sons of God" that we read of in Genesis 6:1, 2.

Genesis 6:1 "And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,"

Genesis 6:2 "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."

All souls were created by God in a time past in that first earth age. Sin came into that first earth age when Satan, through his pride, sought to dethrone the creator, and one third of all of God's created souls fell into sin and chose to follow Satan. Remember that in the spiritual or soul body, all souls are in masculine form, so when God, "Elohim" [God and his angels] made man, they made flesh man in their own image. We in the flesh are the mirror image as in the soul body. However female is common only to this age of the flesh. There simply was no birthing of souls in the first earth age for God created all souls. The birth process, whereby each soul enters this earth age of the flesh through the birthing sack of a woman, happens only once for each soul.

So when the fallen angels came, those that sought to please their spiritual father Satan tried to mess up God's plan. What better way to do this than to mess around with those pretty maiden down there on earth. This is why the daughters of flesh man were targeted, for to have our salvation to work, God had to have his Son to also be born of woman as we are, to suffer as we do, and then to pay the supreme sacrifice with his life.

The life of flesh man is in the blood, and to have the blood of mankind intermixed with the blood of the fallen angels would pollute the entire plan of God. Nothing that happens in God's plan, happens by accident, for God's Word is eternal. The Bible is the story of one man [Adam], his wife [Eve] and the many generations of His family. There are other races that exist also at the same time as this man Adam, and in fact they were created and placed here prior to the creation of Adam, and Eve. This is recorded in Genesis 1:26-28, when God created the sixth day man and woman. Adam was created after the rest of the seventh day or period of time.

Satan and the fallen angels target was not mankind in general but the daughters of Adam through Eve. Adam that was created on that eighth day, in the Hebrew Adam was a certain man, "`eth-Ha'-adham", meaning "this same man Adam". "Adam" in the Strong's Hebrew dictionary is # 120; "Adam; from 119, a ruddy; i.e. human being," In #119; "Adam, aw-dam; to show blood (in the face); flush, to turn rosy, to by made to turn red, rosy." Adamic man is the only race that blushes and turns red in the face. The Kenites do not, for they are not of Adam, but of the Cain, the son of Satan.

So in the bible the generation of Adam are special because it is through Adam that the Messiah will come. That is why Luke 3:23-38 records the lineage of the virgin Mary all the way back to Adam through Seth. This is somewhat accurate because some translator tried to inject a Kenite into the virgin Mary's lineage. In verse 36 this was done when they placed "Cainan", as the father of Sala [Selah in the Hebrew], when Arphaxad was Sala's father. This error of Luke 3:36 is recorded Genesis 10:24 correctly; "And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber."

There were many attempts to pollute the blood line of Christ, not only by these fallen angels, but also by Satan himself. For we know that it was through Satan's son, Cain and his offspring that many prophets as well as Messiah would be murdered. Christ death was recorded from the beginning in Genesis 3:15.

Genesis 3:15 "And I [God] will put emnity between thee [Satan] and the woman [Eve], and between thy seed [the Kenites] and her seed [Jesus Christ]; It {Jesus Christ] shall bruise thy [Satan's] head, and thou [Satan through the Kenites] shalt bruise His {Christ's] heel." The bruising of Christ's heel was done when they nailed Jesus to the Cross.

This is the first promise that God made to man, after Eve sinned and brought Adam into that sin act also. It is the promise from God, that Satan would be defeated at the cross of Christ. Eve's Seed is our Lord Jesus Christ, while Satan's seed are the children, even to the last generation, that came from that sexual union between Eve and Satan. Satan is called the serpent after the role of the deceiver that he played. Satan is called both the "serpent" and "the tree of good and evil", as well as many other names after the roles that he will, and one for our generation is "the Antichrist. God is telling us that he will put trouble between Eve's children [through Adam and Seth's lineage], and the children of Cain, [the Kenites], the sons of Satan through this sexual union between Eve and Satan.

There can be no doubt that the seeds mentioned here are children, for in the Hebrew text the "seed" is called "zirmah", in the Greek it is called "sperma", while in the English the "Zirmah" is called "sperm". The Strong's Hebrew dictionary #2233; "posterity, carnally, child fruitful." So what this is talking about are babies that grow into adults in the flesh. When the Christian community tries to hid this truth under the guise of fairy-tales such as eating of apples, we can see why so many so-called Christians are so biblically illiterate, when their pastors and teachers refuse to teach the truth.

Though the Kenites are with us today, and virtually took over the Levitical priesthood coming out of the Babylonian captivity, and substituted their traditions for the laws and commandments that God gave to Moses. Jesus was born of a pure lineage, lived and gave us the foundation of our faith. God used the Kenites to fulfill that negative part of His plan. the Kenites, not brother Judah crucified our Lord. This is why the saying in Genesis 3:20 that "Eve the mother of all living", Through Eve, in a distant generation Jesus Christ was born, and if you do not have Christ, you do not have spiritual life, which can only come through Him.

God is fair in all things and these fallen angels received condemnation because they would not listen to God's instructions, and in their defiance they tried to make void the Word of God. We are not speaking of evil spirits here, but actual angels, "Nephilim" are the fallen angels. It is their offspring that are the giants that filled the land, and two of their kings were king Sihon of Heshbon, and Og of Bashan. They were ruling over the lands that God promised Abraham that would be given to His generations, the Israelites.

Deuteronomy 3:7 "But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves."

The Israelites deserved it, and God promised that it would be theirs. It is paramount to God plan that when He set aside man in the flesh, that Christ would come through the women Eve. God intended that there could be no mixing with supernatural entities, for our people were to remain innocent. You simply could not have the innocence when you had the mixing of supernatural entities. These beings had the knowledge of the first world that was given them through their parents, and they were following the orders of Satan.

Deuteronomy 3:8 "And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side of the Jordan, from the river Arnon unto Mount Hermon."

"This side of Jordan" would be on the east side of the Jordan. Refer to the Map on page 34, and it is the land given to Manasseh, Gad and Reuben. Mount Hermon is off the map, and is all the way up almost to Damascus. So you can see that These two kings ruled most all the land east of the Jordan river that God gave to Abraham and his children for their inheritance. The only exception was the portions given to Moab, the children of Ammon, and Edom, the children of Esau. Those portions start at the river Arnon, that empties into the salt sea, and goes south to the red sea. These are the Arab nations of today, and it was given to them by God for their obedience to Him.

As we come closer to these end times, these location will come more important to us as the events start to shape political events of our day. It is important that we keep up as to how the entry was made into the promise land.

Deuteronomy 3:9 "(Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;)"

The word Hermon "Shenir" in the Hebrew means "coat of mail", a covering for war., while "Sirion", means "breastplate". In any case mount Hermon was placed strategically to give protection against attacks by foreigners.

Deuteronomy 3:10 "All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan."

The Israelites took it all over, for God gave it all into their hands.

Deuteronomy 3:11 "(For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.)"

Rabbath was the capital city of Ammon, where the temple of Milchom was [the center of baal worship], and that is where Og's tomb would naturally be. To try to understand the size of king Og, lets take a look at his bed. The "cubit" was basically the distance from a man's elbow to the center of a man's hand. Usually it was eighteen inches or greater by today's measurements. This would make this iron bed about eighteen feet long by about six feet or greater wide. This gives us a pretty good estimate as to Og's size, and the size of those giants "Nephilims".

They were part of the Rephiams, and the offspring of the fallen angels. They were an abomination before God, and it was necessary to destroy those that were a part of that seed. Those seeds or people that had mixed with angels were polluted both physically and spiritually, and God looked at them just as those people prior to the flood of Noah's day that had to be destroyed.

Deuteronomy 3:12 "And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites."

Reuben was the oldest son of the twelve sons of Jacob [Israel]. Gad was one of the other brothers of Reuben, and also of the twelve sons of Jacob. Their land of possession is laid out on the map on page 34, and it started on the east side of the dead [salt sea], from the river Arnon, and going north to include half of the mount Gilead.

Deuteronomy 3:13 "And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with Bashan, which was called the land of giants."

Once again, go to page 34 and this territory of Manasseh is outlined. Notice that its boundaries are very jagged, for it was a land of boulders, lava flows, and all sorts of rough territory. This is why it was much larger than then the other, for much of it was inhabitable. Manasseh, and his brother Ephraim were not the sons of Jacob, but were the grandsons of Jacob, and the sons of Joseph. Joseph's sons were the ones to have the blessing promises of Abraham pass on to them. Ephraim would be the dominate one, but Manasseh also received a good part of the blessing.

Genesis 48:20 "And he [Jacob whose name was changed to Israel] blessed them that day, saying, "In thee shall Israel bless, saying, `God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh:' " and he set Ephraim before Manasseh."

Most of the Christian world today simply does not understand this verse and that the blessing promises that God gave to Abraham, passed on to Isaac, are here passed on through Jacob to Ephraim, and Manasseh. They were not passed on to Judah, nor to the Kenites that claim themselves to be of Judah. Though they call themselves to be the chosen people, but God did not chose them, and Jacob did not pass the blessing promises to them. The Kenite elders created the idea, and the Christian leaders of today believed their lie.

Genesis 49:9 "Judah is a lion's whelp: form the prey, my son, thou art hone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?"

Genesis 49:10 "The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto Him shall the gathering of the people be."

The right to rule is Judah's, but the scepter is not the blessing promises. The blessing promises are all wrapped up in the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh, however the right to rule over them and control the laws that they will be governed by is given over to Judah. The royal line of the house of Judah can be traced from Queen Elizabeth II of England, all the way to David. Just as Jeremiah foretold, that throne was overturned from Jerusalem to Ireland through the Irish kings, then overturned again through king Fergus of Scotland the second time, and overturned again to England through King James IV of Scotland who was also King James I of England who gave us this King James version of the Holy Bible.

The tribe of Manasseh, the generations from Joseph's son, became the largest tribe, and we can see that this tribe will be given a large segment of land, also on the west side of the Jordan river. However, Manasseh was also given this large portion of land on the east side of Jordan that was called the land of the giants. After wandering for forty years in the wilderness in fear of the giants, now they will possess the land of the giants.

Deuteronomy 3:14 "(Jar the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashan-havoth-jair, unto this day.)"

Jar was the leader of the army that took the land that was given to the tribe of Manasseh, and he named the land that he took after himself. Bashan, and Havoth are the two areas that he took.

Deuteronomy 3:15 "And I gave Gilead unto Machir."

Deuteronomy 3:16 "And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabook, which is the border of the children of Ammon;"

This can be viewed on the map given on page 34. Again the river Arnon is the dividing line between the children of Lot and the children of Israel.

Deuteronomy 3:17 "The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward."

This plain is the plain of "Elaraba" that runs from the Red sea, north to Elath, known as "Aquaba" today. This location of "Chinnereth" today is called "Gennesaret", our Lord and Savior spent a great deal of time in this area called Gennesaret. He went there to meditate, and to teach lessons, or just to be alone. So the border lines are set on the east side of the Jordan, and they also will play an important part in the Millennium age.

Deuteronomy 3:18 "And I commanded you at that time, saying, `The Lord your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over, armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war."

Because all the tribes provided men to take the land that now belonged to Manasseh, Gad, and Reuben, these three tribes were to provide warriors from their tribes to go with the other tribes as they went to battle to take possession of their lands.

Deuteronomy 3:19 "But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given you;"

Deuteronomy 3:20 "Until the Lord have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the Lord your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you."

Moses is binding the men of these three tribes to stay with their brethren until they also have settled in their lands, and build their houses in the safety of their own boundaries. You will not return to your possessions until all the tribes have theirs. Their homes are given to them by almighty God.

Today we can enjoy our mansion, or resting place, when we have Jesus Christ in our hearts. We don't need to wait for death or the end of this earth age, for God will give us peace in our hearts and minds no matter where you are.

So Moses is now going to give certain commands to Joshua, who will lead all the tribes in their crossing over Jordan, and taking the land that God has promised to them. However remember that from this time, Moses will only have about thirty day left to the end of his life. Moses will plead with the Lord one more time to be allow to set foot in the promise land.

Deuteronomy 3:21 "And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, `Thine eyes have seen all that the Lord your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the Lord do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest."

Moses is telling Joshua that God has promised that He is going to give the Israelites the entire victory in their going in and taking the land. This is exactly as we have today, when we are trusting in Him, and following the instruction that He has given to us.

For a moment now, lets look into the name "Joshua". Joshua in the Hebrew dictionary is # 3091. "Yehowshuwa, yeh-ho-shoo-ah, from 3068 and 3467; Jehovah saved; Jehoshua (Joshua)." So Joshua was a form of savior, and a type of the Savior that would come. As Joshua led His people he is symbolic of the Savior Jesus Christ that will take us to our home land in the eternity. Christ is our place of rest, and we can enjoy that rest even right here on earth today. Though one is spiritual and the other is something that happened centuries ago, both are realities and will come to pass.

Deuteronomy 3:22 "Ye shall not fear them: for the Lord your God He shall fight for you."

Deuteronomy 3:23 "And I besought the Lord at that time, saying,"

Moses is talking to the Lord on His own behalf, and trying to change the Lord mind, for God had declared that Moses would not set foot into the promise land.

Deuteronomy 3:24 " `O Lord God, Thou hast begun to shew Thy servant Thy greatness, and Thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to Thy works, and according to Thy might?"

Moses is telling God that he understands the mighty works and deeds that God had done for the people, and God understands the love that Moses had for Him. Moses had faith in God completely, and he served God with all his might for many years.

Deuteronomy 3:25 "I pray Thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.' "

Moses is over one hundred and twenty years old, and he has served for the past forty years the work of the Lord in leading the children of Israel out of Egypt, through the red sea, and through deserts, across waters, and through times that would make our early pioneers cringe. After all the work that Moses did for the Lord, you can see this old man before the Lord pleading for the right to just set his foot in the promise land. Moses served God well, and he is within thirty days of dying.

When Moses was born, his mother put him in a basket on the Nile river to save his life. The Pharaoh was killing all the male children of the Israelites, and God spared Moses life. Moses grew up as a son of the Pharaoh for his first forty years, and then when he defended the life of another man of Israel, He declared Himself to be of Israel, and the Pharaoh kicked him out.

Moses wandered through the desert, and came upon a well in the desert of the land of the Kenites. When he was in the land of the Kenites he befriended some girls coming to the well to fetch water, and he was invited into their home. In time married one of the young ladies who stuck by him through all their travels. Though the common thought today is that he married into a Kenite family, quite the opposite is true, for Moses married the daughter of a Medianite priest, of the lineage of Lot, not of the Kenites and Cain's generation.

Numbers 10:29 And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite ,Moses' father in law, ..." Hobab was Moses brother in law. So we see that Raguel was the name of Moses father in law, and not Jethro, as many teach. For Jethro is a title of leadership, such as we have mayor and councilmen today. And under the conditions that they lived under, the Kenites had the first right to the well, and then the others, non-Kenite, could draw water from the well.

The last forty years of Moses life started when he approached the Pharaoh in Egypt and demanded that he "Let My people go!" After many trials, and finally the test that caused the death angel to pass over all households in Egypt and claim the life of the first born, Pharaoh released the Israelites, and for the next forty years Moses led the people as they grew in size. We have seen in Deuteronomy here all the things that happened in the wilderness, as Moses is reviewing those thing to the people, and now Moses is begging of the Lord for just one day, just one moment in the promise land.

Moses wanted to just see the white mountains of Lebanon, and cross over Jordan, but Moses made one bad mistake in his serving of God's work and that mistake cost him the right to enter in. Remember that every one that rebelled back at Kedish-barnea, and went against God's orders that were over the age of innocence, God said would not be able to enter into the promise land. They were all dead, however Moses' mistake was striking the rock to get the water, when God told him to talk to the rock. God was teaching the people a lesson, and Moses' wrath prevented it. This is why Moses would not see the promise land.

The lesson was that the "Rock" was the life of Christ, the promised Redeemer, and Moses struck that rock twice. Christ would only be smitten once for the spiritual waters to flow from It, and Moses could not see what the Lord was telling him. We know that God softened His heart on this matter and in less than thirty days from this time, God took Moses to a point where he could see the promise land, and then God buried His body in an unknown location.

Satan wanted the bones of Moses so bad because Moses was symbolic of the law. I feel that God took Moses to a dimension that over-looked the land that we simply cannot imagine. I think that God granted his wish but in a way that he simply could not understand at this time. Moses soul earned the view, but Moses flesh that struck the rock twice did not. Our Heavenly Father is always fair in all that He does.

Deuteronomy 3:26 "But the Lord was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the Lord said unto me, `Let it suffice thee, speak no more unto Me of this matter."

The people worked Moses up to get his hopes up, but God said to him, "Don't mention this matter to Me any more."

Deuteronomy 3:27 "Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan."

Jericho is right across the river from Jericho, and the Lord told Moses to go up on the mound at Pisgah, and look across the river to the west, and to the north and to the east, and every thing that you see shall be for the Israelites, but in the flesh, you are not crossing over. Pisgah is the highest peak on mount Nebo and this is the best view that Moses would have of the promise land.

Moses went to mount Pisgah and he climbed that peak and he looked over Jordan to see the promise land. He saw the promise land as far as the eye could see, and he had some peace, but Moses did not go into the promise land, not one step, not one foot.

However we know that Moses did come back to the promise land when Peter, James and John went with Jesus to the mount of transfiguration. They saw Jesus standing there with Moses and Elijah in their transfigured bodies.

Matthew 17:1 "And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his rother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,"

Matthew 17:2 "And was transfigured before them: and His face did shine as the sun, and His raiment was white as the light."

Matthew 17:3 "And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with Him."

The first time that Moses came back to this mount of transfiguration, there was not peace there then. However, when Moses and our Lord Jesus Christ return at the seventh and final trumpet, there will be peace in the whole earth. There will be peace in that valley and in the hearts of all those living on the face of the earth.

Deuteronomy 3:28 "But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this People, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.' "

Moses learned the hard way about knowing the will of God and doing it exactly as he was instructed. God charged Moses with many things and spoke to him directly, and when God gives much, He expects much. Joshua had been in the promise land before as a spy some forty years prior. He was now going back into the land to take it and posses it. God promised it to him for his faithfulness, and now Moses is going to charge him to go over before the people and take the land for their inheritance. When the people were overwhelmed with the lack of water, and emotionally came against Moses to do something to get water. When they put the heat on Moses he lost sight of what God told him, and he acted out of his fleshly desires.

This is a type of our entering into the promise land of the Millennium age, and God gave us our instructions as to what we are to do. We are to witness for Christ, and Moses forgot that he was to witness before the rock, not smite it in anger because things were not going right for him. Moses knew what God's plan was, but for a moment his lost sight of that plan of God. We also have the plan of God for our generation, and God has instructed us also what is expected of us in this final generation. We know the events that are happening right before our eyes and we have had the prophets have instructed us as to what our role is in these final days of this earth age.

Many will loose their sight of those instructions for that short instant of the time of the Antichrist and the presence of his fallen angels, and in their emotions do as Moses did, and slip for an instant. I hope you see the events of Deuteronomy, and how they also are a type of us living in this present generation.

Deuteronomy 3:29 "So we abode in the valley over against Beth-peor."

In the final days of Moses life, just prior to his death, and while Joshua was waiting for the time God would lead him to the promise land, they were waiting in "Beth-peor". It is interesting that Beth-peor means "the house [temple] of Peor", it is the center of where Baal worship was practiced. It was the center of the activities of the worship of the offspring of the fallen angels. This was the holy place of the Moabites and the rest of the world, and this place of Baal worship was the place were the Israelites paused before entering into the promise land.

Our Heavenly Father told Moses, don't ever talk to Me about this again, you can go up there and look, but you are not going to enter that land in your flesh body.
