Job

Chapter  38

"Yahoveh's first address,"

"The enaminate creation, Wisdom Exhibited in outward activities."

After thirty seven chapters, Job's friends continued to chatter over the same reasons for Job's troubles; and yet they all completely missed the mark.  At the top of the list, they accused Job of being unrighteous and of sinning.  Job was not an unrighteous man, nor did God have any part of the sickness and punishment that Job was going through, for it was Satan that brought the boils and took the lives of his family members, and yet everyone overlooked the role of Satan throughout the entire ordeal.

Job was a type of the "elect" in the latter days, and there will be times when we are going to be tested in the same manner as Job was tested.  The important thing for us to remember from this book, is to be alert and know when Satan is the one that is bringing trouble into our lives.  When we see that happening, it is time to take the power and authority that God has given us and order him out of our lives.  Satan will do harm to all those that allow him to do it to them.

We have seen Job's friends arguments boil to a heated state, and all the time Job and all his friends were trying to answer Job's question; "Why was Job being persecuted?"  Was it personal sin?  However we know from the first three chapters that Job was a very righteous man, and God was proud of this man's life and attitude.  God called him perfect.  All the time that this discussion was going on Job did not need all this discussion, for it was not God correcting Job at any time.  Satan has been controlling the conversation for the first thirty seven chapter, yet those promoting the ideas of Satan's evil mind were unaware of Satan and his deeds all along.

During all this time they had been accusing God as well as Job for many evil deeds.  All the time Satan is over in the corner laughing his britches off, and applauding during the entire time.  During this entire process God loved Job very much, and through this entire time of many words, Job was faithfulness to God and did not curse God in any manner.  God feels the same to His elect today and He did toward Job.  Job and God's elect were all chosen before the foundations of this earth age to do a task in this earth age for Him.  The elect are those that are set aside to accomplish the end times prophecies, so the question to each of us is whether we are bearing up to the mark that God expects of us, or are we allowing Satan to have victory over us because we are not willing to take the power and authority that God has put within our reach.

So now we will get into God's answer to Job, when God let Job know exactly where the blame belongs for all the trouble that he has gone through.  Most scholars of today say that God does not answer the question, but states that God only expects you to believe.  I personally believe that God did answer the question quite well.  So let us see what that answer is in these next five chapters.

Job  38:1   "Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,"

Remember that Elijah was taken up in a whirlwind, and Ezekiel witnessed God coming down in a whirlwind.  This "whirlwind" is the vehicle that God uses to transport his throne when He has a job to do here on earth.  Elihu told us that when a tempest of a storm comes, that God spoke from it.

Job  38:2   "Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?"

God's first answer was in the form of a question.  Remember from verse three of chapter thirty six, Elihu said, "I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and I will ascribe righteousness to the Maker.   For truly my words shall not be false: He that is perfect in knowledge is with thee."  Elihu was presenting himself as a spokesman for God, and I feel that God was even personally addressing Elihu here.  God is asking Job; who is this man who is standing before you, claiming to have all knowledge, and knowing Me?

This should be a warning to us today that there will be many that present themselves to be speaking for God, and all the time their words are empty.  We had better be careful what man or woman we study under.  If they are speaking on behalf of God and His Word, there had better be documentation direct from the Word of God.  Listening to teachers like Elihu is the sure way to be led astray.

So God's first answer to Job is; What are you listening to these men for?  It is addressed to Job but aimed at Elihu, as well as the other three.

Job  38:3   "Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou Me."

This is God's advise to Job.  Stand up like a man, for I am going to tell you a few things, and I will demand an answer of you.  In these early days men wore long robes, and when they were about to do some serious work and walking, they drew the back side of their robe between and through their legs, and tied it to their belt in front.  This is to "gird up now thy loins like a man", for there is going to be some serious discussion and God wanted Job alert.

Job  38:4   "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding."

God is asking Job, but directing the question to Elihu as well as Job; where were you when I laid the foundation of this earth age.  God is letting Elihu know that nothing that he has said came from Me, so don't put words in My mouth.

Job  38:5   "Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?"

Who has determined the measurement of the sun, moon, and earth, and placed the line or signs of the constellations around the earth?

Job   38:6   "Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;"

God is asking, what holds this earth exactly where it is, do you know Job? do you know Elihu?  Stop and think for a moment of all the laws of God, those dealing with gravity, with magnetism, with heat and pressures and all the other things that go to make up the atmosphere of the earth that we live on, and rely on for our life, as we live here in these flesh bodies.  This sets our Heavenly Father in a class all by Himself.  Man is nothing compared to the Creator.

Job  38:7   "When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for Joy?"

Who were these "sons of God" [the stars that sang], and when did these sons of God sing for Joy?  We are talking about the angels here, that sang before the establishment of this earth age of the flesh.   All souls were there and Satan also was there with all of them.  Some how the people of this earth age are trying to forget Satan and the role that he played at the rebellion in that first earth age.  We see that Satan was not in the conversation with Job and his friends at this time.  They all have overlooked the overall plan of God.  However had Job known the plan of God, where would he have been then, when the foundations of this earth were laid and the angels were rejoicing?  Of course He would have been there with the rest of them, where we all were.  You see, we the elect of God were chosen before the foundations of this earth were laid, and so was Job.

Ephesians  1:4   "According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world [age], that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:"

Ephesians  1:5  "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children of Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,"

Even though others were hearing this speaking of God, Job would probably be the only one that would understand what God was saying.  This verse says a lot more than what is translated into the English, for most ears are not able to hear with understanding.

Job  38:8   "Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?"

Who gave birth to this earth, and set the shore lines to the sea, to all those great bodies of water around this earth.  Where did they come form, and what holds them in place?  O course it is God's laws of gravity, the pull of the moon, sun and other heavenly bodies as well as other factors.

Job  38:9   "When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it."

God is saying that it is He that separated the day from the night.

Job  38:10   "And brake up for it My decreed place, and set bars and doors,"

God separated the great bodies of water from the lands of the earth.

Job  38:11   "And said, `Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?' "

Of course God is speaking of the gravity pull, as well and the gravity pull from the moon that gives us the tides, and keeps the oceans and seas from overrunning the land.   God is saying that He set the coast lines that marked the point that those high waves could not pass.  God is asking Job, where were you when I accomplished this?  Elihu promoted himself as one of great knowledge, however even today we are searching for for answers to the mysteries of all these questions.  Man still cannot answer most of these questions.

Job  38:12   "Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;"

God is asking Elihu; when you established the morning, is it you that declared when it was to start and to stop?  Of course all of these things are so far out of the reach of man that we should all start to realize our place in this earth age.

Job  38:13   "That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?"

God's concern that the wicked be shaken out of it in this age of the flesh, and it seems that these men have left Satan and the wicked out of their conversation.  God is telling them and us directly to consider the consequences that Satan and his realm have brought on the earth.  When they talk about the wicked doing all these things, the chief prince of the wicked is Satan and he was completely left out.  God is telling us to wake up and pay attention to what Satan is doing, and how the wicked are shaking up the earth.

Job  38:14   "It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment,"

When you stand and gaze upon a landscape, and see the mountains sticking up high into the air, it is just like the things within that view was sealed like a garment.  This also has to do with your physical body, for it is made with the clay elements of the earth.  Yet it still wears or contains your soul that was one of, and with the sons of God that were singing in that first earth age.

Job  38:15   "And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken."

God is telling us that the real truth will be crushed, the light of this world will be hidden by the wicked.  The true light is withheld from the wicked, and they will never see the real truth no matter what you say, or how you present it.  This is the reason that Jesus Christ spoke in parables when He spoke.  They that are of the world have their spiritual eyes and ears blinded to the truth.  God's truth is foolishness to them, and their only concern are matters concerning their flesh bodies, and the desires thereof.  Their soul is completely foreign even to themselves.

Job  38:16   "Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?"

God is asking them, do you know where all that water that fills the sea comes from?  When you go out to the coast and see that massive body of water of the ocean, do you know how that water got there?

Job  38:17   "Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?"

Can you see into that other dimension, past the gates of death where the soul goes to when it departs from these flesh bodies at death?  Can you see beyond this age of the flesh?  Do you know exactly what happens to one immediately after death?  Do you know what death is with understanding?  There are very few that do know what happens immediately upon death.  Those that do understand it know it only as a shadow of the real thing.  At death, Ecclesiastes  12:7 says; "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit  shall return unto God Who gave it."

The good and the bad all return to the Father, for He is that One which sent your soul and placed it in your mother's womb at conception.  At death your soul returns to the Father to give account for those things that you did while here in your flesh body.  Each soul is appointed to go through this earth flesh body only once; then each soul will return to give account for themselves.  When the flesh body is laid in the grave, the soul and spirit slips off into the presence of the Father instantly.

Job  38:18   "Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all."

God is asking Job, do you know the dimensions of this earth, the thickness of the crust of the earth, and the depth of the oceans?  Though man thinks he knows these things today, there is very few of these things that man really knows.  There are parts of this earth and many dimensions that man and his computers will never figure out.

Job  38:19   "Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,"

Where does light come from, and how do you get the darkness.  Is it something that you can store, or cap in a bottle?  Do you know spiritually what the light of the world is, or the darkness the comes from in the world?  Do you know where that energy abounds from?

Today our schools of higher education will tell you that they have the formulas to figure out all the dimensions, and limits to energy and power and any other thing that you can imagine.  But all their thoughts are built around the limits that man is placing upon himself.  Sure they can take the elements and brake them to their atomic structures with all its parts, and even understand how each of the particles react to each other, but it becomes a different matter to explain how they all became so uniform in the first place.  To where a atom from a far distant heavenly body will have a constant reaction to one right here on earth, and bind just as they all do.

Job  38:20   That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?"

Can you take hold of that light beam, and lead it back home to where it came from?  Can you do the same with the darkness?  Many of these questions seem kind of silly but they are not.  God is trying to draw our attention to just how little we do know concerning these things.  Our knowledge of these matters are limited only to those things that can be measured, and what our senses can understand; however the actually home of the light and what causes it in the first place; and in a spiritual sense we had better.

Job  38:21   "Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?"

We all know the days of our birth, from the beginning at the conception of these flesh bodies in the womb, however our days of existence go back far before this earth age even existed.  Of course God is speaking of our spiritual bodies, or souls that existed in the first earth age, when all mankind existed in another bodily form.  The flesh body is merely an image of the body that we existed in back then.  This is what is implied to God's elect.  We were with Him in soul and spirit, and we took that stand when Satan and one third of all of God's children joined Satan in his rebellion.

Job  38:22   "Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,"

The "treasures" are the elements that go to make up the snow and the hail.  We know that each snow flake is different from all the others, and the same goes for the hail.  God is asking Job and his friends, do you know how I can make each of these so perfect, and what causes each of these to be formed so perfect?

Job  38:23   "Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?"

This is the main point that God is asking Job.  "The day of battle and war" is the day that God destroys Satan's world power, and all the evil things that go to make up these world systems that we have now.  We have all heard of the battle's of Armageddon and Hammon-gog, from the book of Ezekiel 38, and 39, that is what God is referring to here. those giant hail stones that will end the power of Satan, and all those nations that will come against God's people at the final day of this earth age.  Satan will be right here on earth leading the forces when that takes place, and this is all directed to the very one that Job and his friends had forgotten about, Satan.  Satan will be here on earth with all his fallen angels then in the form of the Antichrist, and you and I had better not forget Satan then.

Many that call themselves Christians will be proud to walk up and shake his hand of Satan and call him friend.  They will even be worshipping him as their one true God, all the time in their ignorance of not knowing Satan's true identity.  They will attribute the things of Satan to God, and the things of God to Satan because they are not expecting to see the time of the great tribulation in their flesh body. Their traditions are blinding themselves to block out the truths of that time, and substitute their own fairy-tales of flying away.  You had better not forget or you will be following the dragon instead of the Creator that is talking to Job here.  It is important to keep your priorities straight in these final days.

After reading these past thirty seven chapters, it ought to be obvious that man knows nothing.  Job sat there confused and shaken by words from these so called friend and their fairy tales, but he did not know which way to turn.  This is as it will be also in our generation.

Job  38:24   "By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?"

What actual prism is it that splits the light beams and warms the earth, even as the east wind that bring its warmth to the earth?  Can you explain it Job?  We can take our existing technology and get a very rough idea as to what the weather will be.  Whether it will be cold or hot, wet or dry and so on; however as we well know these answers are no better than the farmer with the wet rag around his neck trying to tell what the weather will be.  Predicting the weather has become the biggest game of chance of our day.

Job  38:25   "Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;"

In other words, who goes before the lightning and prepares the way for it to pass through the atmosphere, and allows the thunder to follow?  Who made all the river beds that allows the rain water to flow uniformly back into the oceans?  They are formed by the laws of God, which we call gravity, and when the water cannot flow back into the sea, it forms our lakes and ponds.  God asks; What man was there when they were first formed?  Man wasn't there, for those formations were formed through the first five days or periods of time of this earth age, and man came along on the sixth day, as recorded in Genesis 1:25-28.  It was after the seventh day of rest that Adam was created, for this is recorded in Genesis 2.

Job  38:26   "To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;"

God is asking Job, do you know how I water all the fields, the mountains, and the plains, giving water to the farmers fields, as well as in the wilderness where no man dwells?  God takes care of those little flowers that grow in the desert, as well as the wild trees that live in the wilderness where no man has ever seen.  They are all part of God's creation even though man is ignorant of them.  God waters each blade of grass, and the leaf of every tree.  God is telling Job, you see, I don't need man to take care of my creation, I can do it Myself.  About this time, Job is beginning to feel a little small and worthless.  Job is starting to realize that through all his righteousness in God, God is far greater than Job ever realized Him to be.

That is sort of like how man views it today, for mankind has put God into a place in their hearts to where they can control Him.  Mankind today expects God to act and be their servant, to do things at their command and be what ever they can imagine Him to be in their little minds.  However once we pause to see the vastness of God's universe, and the minute attention that God gives to the little things of His creation, than man becomes as nothing in the overall plan of God, except in the role that God has created him and her to be in.

It is one thing to be in a thunderstorm and see the lightning, but it is another thing to know all the fine details that went into the reason for it to occur at that moment, and have the knowledge to know what made it happen and in the manner that brought it to pass.

Job  38:27   "To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?"

God is saying that not only do I control those wastes, but I dress those lands in beauty.  The desert is truly a beautiful place at the time when all the cactus are in bloom.  When the mountains are dressed in their forests and capped with the snows, the waterfalls, and the cool clear streams it is pleasant to see.  Then God placed the animal life in those areas and made His earth a place of beauty.  God dressed this earth up before He brought man in to occupy and control His earth and all that is within it.  After each part of the creation was created, God saw it and stated that "it was good."  Then God placed man upon the earth.

Genesis  1:28   "And God blessed them, and God said unto them,  "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

Genesis  1:29   "And God said, "Behold, I have given you every herb bearing see, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat."

After God prepared the earth and placed all that was necessary for man to exist on the earth, than God created man in the image of Himself and the angels and placed mankind on the earth.  Male and female created here was not adamic man.

Genesis  1:31   "And God saw every thing that He had made, and behold, it was very good.  And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."

God rested on the seventh day, and after the seventh day, God created "the Adam", which in the Hebrew is "`eth-`Ha'adam' ", and gave that physical body the "breath of life", which is "nephesh", meaning "a living soul".  This "Adam", or "eth-`Ha'adam" would later be given a wife name Eve, and Eve would become the mother of all living.  This means that through Eve would come the Christ child, Jesus Christ that would bring eternal live to all that would accept Him for the redemption of their sins.

God dresses the entire world in beauty without man's help, and He prepares the necessary means for man to exist in all parts of the world.

Job  38:28   "Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?"

God asks here, who fathered the rain?

Job  38:29   "Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?"

We know that God made it all, even though we can not explain how it all happened.  Mankind likes to point to their degrees in the sciences and pat themselves on the back for the knowledge that they have, with their four or five years of training; however, God has had millions of years, and an unlimited amount of time to prepare the creation as He desired it to be.  God did the work and created the substance that it is all made up of, and not just learned a formula which equates the laws of God.

Job  38:30   "The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen."

God placed the ice over the land that it covers at the poles, and He knows every square inch of land  that lies under the ice.

Job  38:31   "Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?"

The word  "Pleiades" means "the congregation of the judge"; in the Hebrew it is "kimah".  The judge is God Himself, and you are part of His congregation.  Can you bind the sweet influences of God and his entire congregation?  Nobody controls all of God's congregation but God.  God's congregation is both here on earth as well as the places in heaven where He and his children are.

"Orion" according to the Bible is the "Star" or "the coming Prince".  God is indicating that the Star or coming Prince will be coming soon, and He will have the power and the ability to defeat Satan and all his realm.

Job  38:32   "Canst thou bring forth Mazzoroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?"

"Mazzoroth" includes all the signs of the Zodiac, and it marks the path of the sun that it will travel across the heavens.  "Arcturus" is the "bear keeper" of the "great sheepfold", and it is called the "the great bear" of the Zodiac.  Arcturus is the keeper of the direction of all the signs of the Zodiac, and of course it is God that controls all the heavenly bodies.  These signs set the seasons and the times that mankind controls for the important times of his life.  The planting of the corn and potatoes, to the times of worship are set by the signs of the Zodiac.  If mankind has all these things under control, you would think that mankind could create an accurate calendar for keeping His times.  Mankind has changed his calendar many times and in all cases there hast to be a time for correcting the errors in his calculations.  Today we call the ballpark correction as leap-year, to add one day on February 29, to correct for the inaccuracies of our calendar.

Mankind is stumbling all through space today he has gone to the moon and sent objects off into space, and all the time think that he has conquered space, however it is like saying that because I have floated my boat on the ocean, I am an expert on the ocean.  Our Heavenly Father created body of land masses floating around in the universe and He know exactly where each of them are.  And within the Zodiac, and the signs of the constellations, God speaks that there is a time for everything.

There is a time when God will lay hold of the serpent, and cast him and his angels to the earth.  There is a tie when His Son will return to the earth, and do away with Satan's evil kingdom, and all of these things are written in these stars.  God is telling us to look up and learn the signs of the times that we are living in, and read it for yourselves.  Each of these signs are also written in His Word, and given to us in great detail, and God expects His elect to know them for themselves so that we will not be deceived when Satan is cast to the earth with his fallen angels.

Revelation  12:7   "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels."

John is writing this from what he is seeing in his vision that Jesus Christ is revealing to him.  John is viewing these events from the day of the Lord, which is the sounding of the seventh and last trumpet.  Though that day is the future to us living today in our land, it is the past to John writing this on the day of the Lord.  The battle between Michael and Satan and his angels is going on right now, for Satan and his angels have not been cast to the earth yet, but on the day of the seventh trumpet, the great tribulation is over and finished.

Revelation  12:8   "And prevailed not, neither was there place found any more in heaven."

Satan is going to lose the battle in the heavens that is going on right now, and he and his angels will be living amongst us very shortly.  The people of the earth are being prepared for that moment of Satan's return to earth, and the signs that God gave us in the Zodiac are a written lesson of everything that is going to happen in advance.  As the people of the earth are being absorbed in all sorts of tradition and customs, just as Job and his friends were.  Satan is standing over there laughing that you would believe such a lie and be duped into staking your life on such non-sense that is being taught in many church houses today.

It is no accident that Satan will do those things to you, and it is also no accident that all these things will happen.  You see God is going to allow Satan to have his way with mankind, just as He allowed Satan to have his way with Job.  Those of God's elect that are sealed in their minds with the truth will not be deceived by Satan's lies, for God has warned us of this way back before mankind was ever placed on this earth in the flesh.

Genesis  1:14   "And God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:"

Genesis  1:15    "And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth:" and it was so. "

then in verse 19 we read; "And the evening and the morning were the fourth day."  The animals and fish life came on the fifth day, while mankind came on the sixth period of time.  God warned man of what was to come before man was ever created in the flesh.  It is like posting the road signs before the cars were invented, and the roads were ever built.

Revelation  12:9   "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

This is one event that you can count on no matter what the so-called scholars say, for God promised us that Satan would walk the earth with the people of the final generation.  Jesus stated that in Matthew 24, and according to the prophecies, we are living in that generation.  Satan is coming with all of his fallen angels that refused to be born of woman, and they will draw the entire population to Satan, all except those sealed with God's Word in their minds.  God wrote it in the stars, He wrote it in His Word as given to the prophets, and He sent His Son to be born of woman and tell us directly.  It is going to happen, and those that say otherwise, are not of God, nor speaking for God, but are giving the lies of the Devil.

The book of Job was written to God's elect to warn us as to how things will be in the end times.  And these so-called scholar friends of Job had all sorts of advice and facts, yet with all the words spoken they all missed the mark of the truth.  So what are we to do to them?  Smile upon them in their ignorance, for it is God that is allowing themselves to be fooled by Satan children.  Laugh at them and don't let them laugh at you.

Job  38:33   "Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?"

Can you even come close to setting these times and ordinances that God has set in the heavens?  Of course not.  Even our politics has become so perverted that we will know a person to be a liar, sexist, and perverted criminal, and we will let that person go right on leading our people, and even protect the evil that he is promoting.  With each thing that our leaders do, they grow farther from the mark that God has laid out as being His ways.  The more that they move to stamp out starvation, disease, and bloodshed, the more those things increase, for the very ones at the top are making their profits from the sufferings.

Job  38:34   "Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?"

God is asking, can you make it rain?  Mankind has thought up all sorts of things to make it rain, yet it doesn't seem to help.  Your rain dance has nothing to do with whether it rains or not.

Job  38:35   "Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, `Here we are'? "

Have we developed nature to the point to where we can control lightning?  There is a time coming very soon where there will be one that can control the lightning, and he will be able to call down the lightning at will. You had better be prepared mentally for when you see it, he will appear to be Jesus Christ in your midst.  God has already warned us that He is going to give that power to Satan to perform such acts right in from of all the people.

Job  38:36   "Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts, or who hath given understanding to the heart?"

God is asking Job, who has put wisdom in your mind to where you even have understanding in your mind?  What ever understanding you do have from the Word of God, it isn't man that placed it there in your mind, but the Spirit of God.  When you read a verse and it comes alive in your heart, it is only because the Holy Spirit has allowed you to see the truth.  All wisdom comes from the Father, the Creator of all things. In most cases. man's wisdom is nothing but foolishness.  All mankind can do is to pollute the world, and tare down everything that he puts his hand to.  Outside Christ there is no good to man.

Job  38:37   "Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,"

Can you remember every cloud that flows overhead, and know the exact amount of rain that each cloud will have?  Can you increase the rainfall, or even cut down the rain fall or stop it from raining?

Job  38:38   "When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?"

Job  38:39   "Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,"

Mankind has not only hunted the prey of the wild life, but he has destroyed it.  There are many species that are extinct today because of the toxic waste products and wildlife management that is going on in the world today.  We feed our trash to much of the wild life, for the simple reason that we have destroyed that which is natural to them.  Job felt this in his heart as God explained it all to him.  No. man can't hunt for the lion, because the lion is taught by it's own to hunt for themselves.  God provided that provision for the lion, and man is destroying the habitat that the lion feeds on.

Job  38:40   "When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?"

Job  38:41   "Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young one cry unto god, they wander for lack of meat."

Looking around at the great waste that is going on today, it is self explanatory what is happening today.  God is telling us to wake up and look around you.
