Chapter 138

"A Psalm of Praise."

Psalms 138 is a praise Psalm, praise for those things just promised. The promise was that our enemies will soon be destroyed.

Psalms 138:1 "I will praise Thee with my whole heart: Before the gods will I sing praise unto Thee."

Again, this word "gods" is misleading, for it is "elohim", referring to the angels. For they will neither give or take in marriage, for we will be as the angels are in their incorruptible bodies. So it is the elohim that are singing the praises to Almighty God. I will praise God with your whole mind? Or do you hold back most of the time? It there a little doubt in your mind if you can trust the Lord completely? It is getting a little late for any doubt to be existing in your mind or soul. Our Lord is coming soon, and it is not a good time to have your faith giving out.

Psalms 138:2 "I will worship toward Thy holy temple, And praise Thy name for Thy lovingkindness and for Thy truth: For Thou hast magnified Thy word above all Thy name."

God's holy Temple is in Jerusalem. Most of the people that are buried are buried with their head pointing to the east: Towards Jerusalem. However don't confuse this with the fact that those flesh bodies will not be revived under any condition, for once dead, these souls will never return to their flesh bodies. Those bodies are left to decay back to the elements they are made of. Still that was the custom of ancient Israel. Though many times a custom will remain and become the tradition and guiding thought, but the people themselves will forget who they are, and where it came from.

This verse looses a little when "word" is used, rather than "promise" as is in the manuscripts. In other words, You have fulfilled all your promises that are written in your Word, beyond expectation. As we look back on all the historical events and saying that came to pass as they were written in His Word, you can count on all the writings dealing with the events of these end times also meeting the same degree of accuracy. We are in the final generation, as the details that must occur before the end of end, are history to us living today. The Jews have gone back to Israel, the new world order has been controlling the nations of the earth now for 50 years, God has been removed from our schools and government, and the armies are at the gates of Jerusalem. It is long past time to wake up, and prepare for the coming of Antichrist, Satan, for that event could be at any moment.

Ps 138:3 "In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul."

The Lord encouraged me with the truth from His Word, as given by God through His prophets and apostles. Does His Word encourage you, or confuse you? God's Word will give you strength spiritually, to face each day. It will also strengthen you physically when you learn to obey all the health laws, but with all the chemicals used on our foods today, it becomes hard to follow them one hundred percent. However, notice that it says, "strengthenedst me with strength in my soul." it is written to strengthen your spiritual life, and give spiritual food for your soul, not your flesh.

Psalms 138:4 "All the kings of the earth shall praise Thee, O Lord, When they hear the words of Thy mouth."

There is only one time when all the kings of the earth shall praise Thee, give praise to our Lord Jesus Christ, and that day is on the first day of the Millennium age. It will happen after the seventh trumpet sounds, when all people living on this earth in their flesh bodies will be changed instantly into their new incorruptible bodies. That day is not far off. At the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, those kings will all "hear the words of Thy mouth." Babylon will be destroyed, Satan will be in the pit and all the evil of this flesh age will not exist in that Millennium kingdom. Those kings will not be swade by the wickedness that is filling the world today, and neither will you. The last day of this earth age is the first day of the Millennium kingdom, and every knee on the face of the earth will bow to our Lord Jesus Christ on that day, or they simply will not exist.

Psalms 138:5 "Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord: For great is the glory of the Lord."

Gods elect will sing His praises on that first day of the Millennium age, as written in Revelation 15:3; "And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvellous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty: just and true are Thy ways, Thou king of saints.

The Song of Moses is our victory song, and it is given in Deuteronomy 32:1-43, for it instructs us how to tell the difference between our Rock Jesus Christ, and the false rock Satan. The song of the Lamb, we read of in Psalms 86.

Psalms 138:6 "Though the Lord be high, yet hath He respect unto the lowly: But the proud He knoweth afar off."

When it seems that the world is down on you, and things just are not going right, we have a champion that will fight our battles for us, and pick us up when we are down. The Lord is there when we are at our lowest, but we have to take His yoke upon us, and allow him to pull the load for us when it is to overbearing for us to handle. He will sure make a difference in your life. On that day of our Lord's return, even those with a proud mind, will be humbled, as they see their fortress is blown away.

Psalms 138:7 "Thou I walk in the midst of trouble, Thou wilt revive me: Thou shalt stretch forth Thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, And Thy right hand shall save me."

Stop for a moment and look around you today. See all the terrorism that is going on around the world. We are in the end generation, and the things dealing with our generation are taking place right before our eyes. Men sit at tables together, lying one to another, and all the time utter their words of peace. Lying and deceiving as they are, the truth is just not in them.

Stop and think for a moment, who sits at the right hand of Almighty God? Our Lord Jesus Christ is sitting there as our advocate, our lawyer pleading our cast to the throne of God. He is the one that shall return on the last day of this earth age, and make all things right. He shall return as the King of Kings, and the Lord of lords, and He shall rule his kingdom with a iron rod. There will be no crooked judges in His kingdom. He will lead that army of our loved ones that have died in this earth age, and gone home to be with the Father. Their robes are washed in the blood of the Lamb, and they will come back to make up His mighty army. This then will start that age of teaching, for that is what the Millennium is all about. Making things right before the great white throne judgment, when Satan and all his followers will be marched into the lake of fire to their second death, the death of their soul.

Psalms 138:8 "The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: Forsake not the works of Thine own hands."

The Lord is going to perfect all those parts of your soul's life, for this will take place in the Millennium, when there will be no more flesh body. God has promised us that we will move into our incorruptible bodies, that never age, for that thousand year period of Christ's kingdom. Our Lord will never forsake the works of His hands.
