Psalms 5:1 "Give ear to my words, O Lord, Consider my meditation."

This chapter is a prayer for divine aid in David's life. Do you need divine aid? Remember this prayer is to the chief Musician, which is Jesus Christ, and as we read in the last Chapter, our Lord listen to each of our prayers and they will all be answered. the prayer if "upon the Nehiloth" which means "on behalf of her that inherits". If you are of Israel and the bride of Christ, it is on your behalf, concerning her that inherits. You can claim that inheritance for it is God's promise to you when you know and act upon your knowledge that our Father is a covenant God. A covenant is a Will that is your inheritance after the death has taken place. After the death of our Lord on the cross, that will become active and all we have to do is to claim it, all of it.

The request by David to the Father is to listen and hear my pray, and consider the words of my meditation.

Psalms 5:2 "Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: For unto Thee will I pray."

Remember what was said in the prior chapter, our heavenly Father will listen to all of your prayers and will answer each of them. However we must trust in him, and allow ourselves to be yoked to His Son. Man might let you down from time to time, but you can always count on Him.

Psalms 5:3 "My voice shalt Thou hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning will I direct my prayer unto Thee, and will look up."

The term "look up", means that we will wait on the Lord. Once we have asked the Lord of His help and blessings, then it is up to us to wait patiently for His answer. Many times our prayers are not answered instantly, but over a period of time. He hears us and we are to wait patiently and trust Him.

Psalms 5:4 "For Thou art not a God That hath pleasure in wickedness: Neither shall evil dwell with Thee."

It just is not possible for our heavenly Father to take any pleasure in wickedness. Our Father is light, the light of the world, and there simply is no place of evil in the presence of our Lord.

Psalms 5:5 "The foolish shall not stand in Thy sight: Thou hatest all workers of iniquity."

This is so true, for our Lord hates all workers of iniquity. When churches lead their people into false doctrines that is wickedness, and even though it is done in ignorance, God hates it. This is why there is so much confusion in the world today.

Psalms 5:6 "Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: The Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man."

"Leasing" is telling lies. God is going to destroy those false teachers and preachers that are lying to their people and giving false doctrine. Father just doesn't like those that teach His people to fly away. Ezekiel 13:20 "Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; `Behold, I am against your pillows [doctrines or traditions], wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly [to escape], and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly."

We are dealing here with something far worse than in the physical sense, for we are dealing with the very death of the soul of those that are led into Satan's camp upon His arrival. Those that teach the rapture doctrine are setting up the souls of God's little ones, and preparing them to be taken by Satan at his coming at the sixth trump. Murdering a soul is far more serious in the eternal picture than murdering a flesh body. the point that is made here, is that when you hear these lies being taught, get away from those lies. Stay with the Word of God in your studies.

Psalms 5:7 "But as for me, I will come into Thy house in the multitude of Thy mercy: And in Thy fear will I worship toward Thy holy temple."

The plea here is that you come into the multitude of the house of God. His house is His temple, and after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, He became the temple of God. You come into the Temple of God when you become part of the bride of Christ. Jesus is that building, and we are to come into the true Christ. However watch out for the false Christ that shall come first.

Psalms 5:8 "Lead me, O Lord, in Thy righteousness because of mine enemies; Make Thy way straight before my face."

This is a prayer that each of us need to make. "Lead me O Lord, in Thy righteousness..." Lead me because there are so many false doctrines and false teachers that would cause me to head in the wrong direction. Lead me through the spiritual mine fields of my enemies that are set before me. Make the path of Jesus Christ known to me, and open my mind to see and follow that way in my life. We follow that path as we study God's written word and apply it to our lives. As we study His word, we come to know the truth and with that understanding comes the wisdom that only God can give. That is a prayer that each of us must make before we start our study, that His Spirit will open our minds to receive all of it.

Psalms 5:9 "For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; Their inward part is very wickedness; Their throat is an open sepulchre; The flatter with their tongue."

There is nothing trust worthy that comes from the mouth a teacher of false doctrines. Even from the start of their thinking, they set out to deceive and peddle their wickedness. The "sepulchre" is a place for the dead, and that is where those that listen to their wicked words will end, as spiritual death. Their mouths peddling false traditions such as the rapture leads people to death, which is Satan. Hebrews 2:14, 15 "For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;" [14] "And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." [15] Through Christ's death the devil will be destroyed, yet these false teachers continue to flatter with their tongue. the only thing that comes from their flattering tongue is nothing but milk. It is time to get into all of God's Word.

Psalms 5:10 "Destroy Thou them, O God; Let them fall by their own counsels; Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; For they have rebelled against Thee."

This verse is directed to the Kenites and the false teachers. Let each of them fall by their won counsels. They have rebelled against God by staying with the milk of the Word, and never preparing themselves with the entire word of God. We need all of God's Word and truth for these days that we are living in, and remember how this book opened? It commanded us not to stand in the counsel of the wicked, nor walk in the ways of the sinners, nor sit with those that scorn at the truths from God's holy Word. Here God is saying, let those counsels that do transgress, fall by their own counsels.

Psalms 5:11 "But let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice: Let them ever shout for joy, because Thou defendest them: Let them also that love Thy name be joyful in Thee."

You can rejoice when you put your trust in our heavenly Father, and the promises of His Word. Those that love the name of YHVH, the Father and Yashuah His Son love that name. We have the assurance that Father defends us as we walk in His ways. Once we understand each verse and how it all connects from one end of the Scripture to the other, we can see the ignorance of those that chose to reject the mature part of the word. Those that take only the milk of the word will never grow to maturity in the word, and will stand completely unsealed at the sounding of the sixth trumpet. Friend, if you are unsealed with the truths of God's Word in your mind at the sounding of the sixth trumpet, you are in trouble. Revelation 9:4, 5; "...but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads." [4] "And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man." [5] This time is coming upon us rapidly.

Psalms 5:12 "For Thou, Lord wilt bless the righteous; With favour wilt compass him as with a shield." [To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith.]

Our Lord will bless the righteous ones. That Shield that we put on when we put on the gospel armor of Christ is faith. Ephesians 6:16 "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." [16] "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God:" [17]

Father will place this compass or crown on you by your faith in Him. You will be crowned with your faith, that is what your shield is. God will crown you with faith when He blesses the righteous.

To the chief Musician, on Neginoth upon Sheminith.
