"Summons to Sing the New Song."

God is making a request that you sing a new song.

Psalms 96:1 "O sing unto the Lord a new song: Sing unto the Lord, all the earth."

This new song that is to be sung will be on the first day of the Millennium, at the sounding of the seventh and last trumpet. We will not be in these aging flesh bodies then, but in our new Spiritual bodies that each man and woman living in their flesh body will be changed into. Paul wrote of this in I Corinthians 15:15-54. All the earth shall sing this song of praise to our Lord. This new song is written of in Revelation 14:1-3.

Revelation 14:1 "And I looked, and lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with Him an hundred forty and four thousand, having His Father's name written in their foreheads."

What is in your foreheads? Of course it is your mind, and these are the ones that had Father name and word written in their mind. They knew the events that were to take place and they held fast to the Word, and were not deceived by Satan, nor his system, to take the name and number of the beast.

Revelation 14:2 "And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:"

Waters are people, and since this is in the Millennium age, these people or souls are in their incorruptible bodies. they are singing this new song and praising our Lord Jesus Christ

Revelation 14:3 "And they sung as it wee a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth."

All those that are redeemed will sing this new song and they will be from all over the world, or earth. This Psalms 96 then is the call to sing; while we will see in Psalms 97, the answer to that call. The subject for this chapter and the following three will be the coming rest for the entire earth, to which even the creation looks forward to that time.

Remember that the fourth book of Psalms deals with the time in the wilderness, which is the Numbers book of Psalms. The Lord has not returned yet, and the people have not entered into the promise land. However these next few chapters are taking a view into that promise land, just as Moses and the people looked across Jordan, just before they were to enter into the promise land. The Apostle Paul talked about this waiting time just before the Millennium age, in Romans 8:18-23. Waiting for that time when we shall be released from the corruption of these flesh bodies and enter or change into those new incorruptible bodies.

Romans 8:22 "For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now."

You and your physical body are part of God's creation for God created all things and people.

Romans 8:23 "And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body."

What a glorious time that will be when our Lord returns and we enter into our incorruptible bodies that we shall have for the eternity.

Psalms 96:2 "Sing unto the Lord, bless His name; Shew forth His salvation from day to day."

That is what this Psalm is all about, praising the Lord and blessing His holy Name. We should be singing this song of praise every day of our lives, for He deserves all the praise and honor that is given Him.

Revelation 4:11 "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created."

Psalms 96:3 "Declare His glory among the heathen, His wonders among all people."

Who do we declare our Lord Jesus Christ's glory to? All people, that includes all the heathen nations. All the people of our generation, for the time of this earth age is short.

Psalms 96:4 "For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods."

"All gods" are referring to and should read "all angels" for there are no other gods. There is but one God.

Psalms 96:5 "For all the gods of the nations are idols: But the Lord made the heavens."

All of the hand carved or created gods by man are nothing. They are empty of understanding and the wood or elements that they are made of are all part of God's creation. We are to worship the creator, and not part of God's creation. Only our heavenly Father is worthy of our praise and worship.

Psalms 96:6 "Honour and majesty are before Him: Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary."

It is urgent that you enter that Sanctuary of our Lord today, for the time is late.

Psalms 96:7 "Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, Give unto the Lord glory and strength."

Psalms 96:8 "Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name: Bring an offering, and come into His courts."

If you love Him, then work for Him. There is a reason that you "give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name". We will discuss the glory due unto His name in the eleventh verse.

"An offering", as given in the Hebrew text is called the "minchah", or "the presence or Meal offering". It is a gift offering, not necessarily given to secure admittance, but to secure a favor. This offering can either be with or without the shedding of blood sacrifice. In reality it has a wider signification than the literal "meal".

Psalms 96:9 "O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: Fear before Him, all the earth."

We are to worship the Lord and the beauty of His holiness, and revere Him. God created all things and He deserves our honor and praise. When you see all the events of today played out before our eyes to see, exactly as they were prophesied thousands of years age, we know that God loved us enough to warn us of the wicked one. Today God's Word is going forth over all the earth, and those with eyes to see and ears to hear the truths will understand and come to respect and praise God.

Psalms 96:10 "Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: The world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: He shall judge the people righteously."

This should not be hard to relay to those around you, that the Lord reigneth. At the sounding of the seventh trumpet this earth will be shaken, and established and put back into its right orbit and axis. The storms as we have them today will cease, and the upheaval of the earth go back into it normal position. There will be no more moving of the continent shelves causing all the earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and other physical corruption of the earth as we know it today. The earth and all the people on it shall enter into that rest, that Sabbath, and even our physical bodies will be at rest in their new incorruptible bodies. All nature itself groans for the return of our Lord, and that day of rest.

In that Millennium age there will be no more corrupt judges or wrong judgments for in our Lord's kingdom He shall judge all the people righteously. There will be no confusion of what the law is, for God will implant within each mind that law, and he will not have to ask his neighbor what a law means.

The next verse is an acrostic, a hidden meaning behind what is written and only those with understanding of that acrostic will know it's truth. Though this is given in English in the King James version of the Bible, if you have a Companion Bible it will take you into the Massorah text and point out how Hebrew words are laid out to make up this acrostic. Within the Massorah of the Hebrew manuscripts there are "majestic and rubric" letters that lock in our Heavenly Father's sacred name.

Psalms 96:11 "Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof."

In the phrase; "Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad." Within this phrase are the letters that lock in the true Sacred name of our Heavenly Father. In the Hebrew text, the initials of the four Hebrew words making this sentence form an acrostic is giving the four letters of the word "Jehovah" (Y. H. V. H.) Thus: The four words:

Yismehu Hashshamayim Vethagel Ha'drez.

Within the Massorah there is a special rubric calling attention to this acrostic. This is the advantage that those with Companion Bibles have, for these hidden meanings, hidden to most readers, are pointed out to those that want to be more scholarly in their studies of God's Word. Don't ever let some person tell you it is YHWH, for they show their ignorance and lack of knowledge of the Massoretic text. God's holy Name is locked into God's Word and it is Y.H.V.H.

Psalms 96:12 "Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: Then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice."

The very nature itself moans for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. When we take a close look at what man has done with this earth he lives on, we understand that there simply can not be much more time. The entire earth, and everything on it, above it, and under it are been polluted, and stripped its health. Disease, and pestilence are claiming the lives of not only people, but trees, plant life, the live in the sea and in the air. What the acid rain is not claiming in the forest, the fires and natural disasters are.

Psalms 96:13 "Before the Lord: For He cometh, for He cometh to judge the earth: He shall judge the world with righteousness, And the people with His truth."

The "earth" is that planet that we live on, where as the "world" as given in the Hebrew text is "tebel". The Word is talking about the inhabitable world. There will be no rest or righteous rule for this inhabitable world and the people that are living on it until our Lord and Savior returns. Our Lord is a fair judge, and when we fall short of His law, upon repentance in Jesus name, He reestablishes that kinship back to our Heavenly Father. For your repentance He is going to give you a reward, and you can start collecting on that reward immediately. Our Heavenly Father blesses those that strive to please Him and follow His way. Sure, when you fall short, He will correct you, and He does that because He loves you. When you stray from God's laws, commandments and statutes, you will pay a price for your straying.

The book of James calls it "the law of liberty". The best that you can, obey the law , and you have the liberty of peace. God's law brings us liberty and peace. No you will not be one hundred percent, but you are to try. Friend, as long as your souls resides in your flesh body, you will continue to sin for flesh itself is sin and corruption. It screams for it's wants and desires to control your very soul. The wants of your flesh body disturbs you soul and its rest all the time, for food, water and all the other desires of the flesh. As long as your souls lives in it flesh body, it has a witness that cries out against your soul for attention. Self and self-righteousness is one of the biggest sins in the world. That was Satan's sin that caused all the trouble in the first earth age, and even to today. Self pride is Satan's trick to try to deceive people. God can't use people all locked up in their self pride, but He need those that would humbly serve him. People that would follow the law of liberty, choosing to obey Him and follow His Word gladly.
