The Book of Jeremiah

JEREMIAH The Prophet

"Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying, Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the bricklin, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah; And say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them. And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the sword to the sword. Jeremiah 43:8-11

The books of reference used for this study of the book of Jeremiah were the Bible, King James Version, called "The Companion Bible", Publisher Kregel; Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, numbered to the Hebrew, Chaldee, and Greek, and English, coded to the Strong's Concordance numbers.

Other sources were also used besides these references, but they were the major source of the study. Of course without the leading by the Holy Spirit, there would be no understanding of the truths, for all the truth of the Scriptures are revealed to us by God's Spirit.

John 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:13-14
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
