This chapter also is a Psalm written to the sons of Korah, to those that live by faith. They were saved by grace even in the Old Testament.

Psalms 48:1 "Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised In the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness."

The time this is referring to, Christ is returned as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and he will be reigning from His holy mount Zion in Jerusalem. We are speaking of the millennium age here, when all souls are living in their soul or spiritual bodies, where there is no sickness and confusion about what the Word of God says and means. We will see our Lord Jesus Christ reigning from his world throne, and the praised by all the people on earth. God made an eternal covenant with Jerusalem in Ezekiel 16, and that is where He will rule from.

Psalms 48:2 "Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, Is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, The city of the great King."

Stop and think for a moment, for God is telling us that He is going to place his throne in His city, on the side of the north in Jerusalem. However before that time comes, there will be another king that will be a fake, that will also establish his throne in Jerusalem on the side of the north also. We are to make sure that we do not reach our early to take hold of that false king for he will be Satan in his role as the Antichrist. In the prior Psalms we were warned about taking that king to ourselves. Lets take a close look at that strange God that will sit on the side of the north first.

Isaiah 14:11 "Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is sprad under thee, and the worms cover thee."

Isaiah 14:12 "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"

Notice it is not in heaven, but "from heaven", to the earth as the Antichrist. He comes as the "son of the morning", the morning star. He is here because Michael threw him out of Heaven onto the earth, and he will be a counterfeit of the real morning star. He will come to deceive those that would be deceived. Satan will weaken the nations because he will deceive all the nations of the earth. He healed the deadly wound of Revelation 13:1-3, and brought the one world system back in order again as a religious system. The peace that Satan will bring to the world will be a false peace, as he sits on the side of the north claiming to be God.

Isaiah 14:13 "For thou [Satan, this false morning star] has said in thy heart, `I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:"

Isaiah 14:14 "I will ascend above the height of the clouds; I will be like the Most High."

This is given also in II Thessalonians 2:4; "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

This states that our Lord Jesus Christ shall not return to us until after Satan, the counterfeit Christ, sits in his temple on the side of the north, claiming to be God, and the whole world believes him. Satan is the "son of perdition", the same "Lucifer" spoken of in Isaiah, the "dragon" of the first earth age that drew one third of all souls to him, and the "serpent" of the garden of Eden that wholly seduced Eve, and from that sexual encounter came his son Cain, and Cain's offspring the "Kenites". Satan goes by many names for each describes the role that he played at a certain time.

Revelation 12:7 "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels."

This war is going on right now, and at the sounding of the sixth trumpet, Satan, the dragon will be here on earth, setting up his religious system.

Revelation 12:8 "And prevailed not, neither was there place found any more in heaven."

Revelation 12:9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was caste out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

So this same false morning star will stand in his temple on the side of the north in Jerusalem and claim himself to be God, and the people of the world will be deceived and believe him. He will appear in Jerusalem first, before the true Christ comes at the seventh trumpet.

Isaiah 14:15 "Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."

Michael will be the one to remove him from the heavenlies, and place him on the earth, for the purpose of testing those that are on the earth. This is all part of the plan of God, and God wants those that love Him to be forewarned of what is about to happen. There is no secrets as to what is going on in the world today, for we are watching as the seals are opened and trumpets sounded right before our eyes. Those of the elect with the eyes to see and the ears to hear the truth will not be deceived as all this is happening.

Isaiah 14:16,17 "They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, `Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?' "

The kingdoms of the earth will be here on earth, and not in a one world state when Satan appears, and Satan will draw them back together again, and heal that deadly wound. Revelation 13:3; "And I saw one of the heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast."

Revelation 13:4 "And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, "Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?"

Satan will heal the wound of the one world system and then that system will give its power back to Satan, as he reign in his temple on the side of the North in Jerusalem. This time will come very soon, and those that have the understanding know this, and will be ready for Satan when he comes. Those ten virgins all know this, but half of those that remain virgins for Christ, fall off at that last hour when Satan declares himself to be God. Only half of the virgins will remain true to the very coming of Christ, and have the wisdom and knowledge to see the truth.

Psalms 48:3 "God is known in her palaces for a refuge,"

Our Heavenly Father is the one that is know in the palaces of His virgin bride to be a refuge in all times of trouble.

Psalms 48:4 "For, lo, the kings were assembled, They passed by together."

Psalms 48:5 "They saw it, and so they marvelled; They were toubled, and hasted away."

When Satan sits in Jerusalem there are going to be a lot of troubled minds by the leaders of all the peoples of the earth.

Psalms 48:6 "Fear took hold upon them there, And pain, as of a woman in travail."

This is the same warning that our Lord gave to us in Matthew 24:19 "And woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!" It is not talking about giving birth to babies, but to being taken as a bride to the wrong Christ during this time. "With child" means that you have become part of the bride to the wrong Christ, and "giving suck", means that you are giving service to Satan's service.

Psalms 48:7 "Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind."

These "Ships of Tarshish" represent the merchandising of our people, the people of God.

Psalms 48:8 "As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah."

This is a promise to you and I living in these latter days, that God will establish His kingdom right there on the side of the North, in the city of the Lord of Hosts, Jerusalem, right after the fake has been removed. That time is at the sounding of the seventh and last trumpet. When will that be, shortly, but first the falling away must come first, and the whole world deceived. That kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ will never end, but will be eternal.

You will not see that kingdom that Christ reigns over in your flesh body, for Paul has revealed that mystery to us in I Corinthians 15:50-54.

I Corinthians 15:50 "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption."

No flesh can exist in that kingdom when Christ is here on earth.

I Corinthians 15:51 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,"

This mystery is one that is first revealed here by Paul, and at a certain point in time, now person, or soul will ever die again in their flesh body. Why? Because all flesh will be changed, simply not exist and all souls will be in another form. So when will that be?

I Corinthians 15:52 "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

It will be instantly, in a moment, faster than you can wink an eye, and that time is at the "last trumpet", the seventh trumpet when our Lord Jesus Christ returns to earth. Then we shall all be changed. Some to immortality of the incorruptible bodies, and most will be mortal souls in an incorruptible body that never ages until the time of the great white throne judgment; then to immortality, or to the second death, the death of that soul.

So this Selah in Psalms 48:8 connects that rive of peace with the loving kindness of our Heavenly Father, with the peace that should be in your heart, when you love the Lord. We are to take a moment to think on these things.

Psalms 48:9 "We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, In the midst of thy temple"

Take time to meditate on our Lord's loving kindness, and the protection He has shown us individually.

Psalms 48:10 "According to Thy name, O God, So is Thy praise unto the ends of the earth: Thy right hand is full of righteousness."

God's right hand is full of righteousness, and that is the same right hand where our Lord Jesus Christ sits at.

Psalms 48:11 "Let mount Zion rejoice, Let the daughters of Judah be glad, Because of Thy judgments."

When you know the truth and God is within you, you just don't have to give a second thought about His loving protection over you. Judgment to a one of His elect means you are to receive your inheritance and rewards. That is not a time of trouble but praise and singing for joy.

Psalms 48:12 "Walk about Zion, and go round about her: Tell the towers thereof."

We are to warn the people that will listen, even in our end generation of the love of God, and the threat that is coming upon the whole earth at the coming of Satan, in his role as the Antichrist. When you are able to walk amongst the world when this trouble is all about, it means that you are a free person. Many in ignorance will will not remain free after Satan has his way with them.

Psalms 48:13 "Mark ye well her bulwarks, Consider her palaces; That ye may tell it to the generation following."

This is a order to the remnant to each generation to pass this truth on to the next generation, so that in the end generation they will be prepared for what they will live through.

Psalms 48:14 "For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death."

"To the chief Musician."

"This God" is our Lord Jesus Christ, He is not the one that we read of in Isaiah 14, or II Thessalonians 2:4, He is our God for ever and ever. There is not end to our Heavenly Father's kingdom. Check this translation carefully for in the sentence "He will be our guide even unto death", should read; "He will be our guide for ever more, even over death." The mistranslation come when the scribes divided the one word "almuth" into two words "al moth", making the translation "over death". The verse then should read "over death", not "unto death". This is from the original foot notes from the Massorah, not the translation of the Vulgate and the other. The Massorah is the fenced in and protected Word of the Scriptures, and you simply cannot changed it from it's original test. So lets read this verse again.

Psalms 48:14 "For this God is our God for ever more: for He will be our God even over death."

On that first day of the Millennium age, death shall be destroyed and will be no more. We read in I Corinthians 15:54-55 "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, "Death is swallowed up in victory." "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?"

I Corinthians 15:56 "The sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, Which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." We have the victory in our Lord Jesus Christ."

So how could this mix up taken place? We know that the Kenites had taken over the duties of the Levitical Scribes from I Chronicles 2:55 "And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez [Jerusalem]; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Scuhathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hamath, the father of the house of Rechab [not of Jacob]." Satan's kids had long taken over by the time that our Lord Jesus Christ had walked the earth, and that is why they sought to murder Him from the very beginning. That is also why we may find bad translations in the Scripture from time to time.
